Phuket International Hospital (PIH) or Siriroj Hospital is an acute care general hospital with a current bed capacity of 105. It has provided a high standard of health care to the people of Phuket, as well as overseas tourists since 1985.

It started as a small hospital in 1982 in Phuket town. On December the 20th of 1993, the PIH moved to its present location, 3 km west of the city. It is easily accessible from all the major tourist attractions, the airport and Phuket town itself.

At PIH we are devoted to achieving and maintaining excellence in health care. We believe that Thai traditional way and holistic approach of caring for the sick applies well to the modern art of healing. 
In the design of the PIH, we have paid a lot of attention to the green surroundings and comfortable interiors. The purpose is to keep our patients in the minimal stressful environment as possible. We believe that the setting contributes to a faster recovery from illness. 

Every year, more than 2 million overseas tourists come to Phuket for holidays. A certain number of them get sick and some suffer from accidents. In 2000 PIH took care of nearly 10,000 overseas patients. 

PIH has good connections to the global network of insurance companies, air ambulance services, doctors and hospitals in many countries. This makes the repatriation of our international patients always a smooth process, in case such a move is necessary.
