A
perfect diving vacation |
Similan
Islands The
Similan islands are a stunning group of nine islands, northwest
of Phuket. The
diving here is astonishing; one of the tops spots in the world
and Asia. Thriving reefs, lush corals, impressive sea fans and
an incredible variety of marine life including large pelagics
such as manta rays and whale sharks.
Just
to the North of the Similans lie Koh Bon and Koh Tachai, famous
for the visiting whale sharks, manta rays and sharks. |
Surin
Islands Richelieu
Rock, part of the Surin Marine National Park, is incredibly rich
in marine life. Here you can see everything, sea horses, shovel
nose rays, moray eels, lion fish, schools of banner fish, etc. Due
to its location in open seas you may also see pelagics such as barracudas,
trevallies and tuna. And it is famous for being one of the world's
best locations for spotting whale sharks. |
South
Andaman Koh
Phi Phi and its diving locations like Hin Bida, Koh Bida Nai, Koh
Bida Nok and the Shark Point area are located to the east of Phuket.
A bit further south we find the spectacular reefs of Hin Daeng and
Hin Muang, one of the best places to spot whale sharks and also
manta rays are often present here. The
liveaboard boats normally combine all these locations in one trip.
Gulf
of Thailand
The
best of the dive sites of the Gulf of Thailand are found in the
west side of the Gulf, around Koh Tao and Koh Samui, with good
chances of encounters with large pelagics like sailfish, oceanic
white tip sharks and most spectacular of all: the majestic whale
shark. Divers also have a chance to spot manta rays and turtles
while swimming amongst schools of pelagics, bat fish and barracuda.
Being
on a liveaboard gives us the opportunity to be the first ones
to arrive and the last to leave at the sites within reach of the
day trips boats and also to reach the sites situated beyond their
reach.
