Kata Beach

Kata Beach is just south of Karon Beach and a popular west coast town for tourists and some of the expat community. The beach is much shorter than Karon Beach but still presents one of the best locations to enjoy the large swells coming in from the Andaman Sea. The land side of Kata Beach is backed by tall jungle covered hills offering spectacular views and tropical sunsets. There are a full range of accommodations from five-star hotels to small inexpensive guest houses. One of the most popular theme shows, Phuket FantaSea is in Kamala. There are plenty of great local restaurants serving Thai local foods along with many European cuisine choices.
